Bands in Ireland and the Irish Music Scene

Ireland has a fantastic music scene.

All styles are covered from traditional music to tribute bands, to blues music and rocK.

In fact U2 arguably the worlds biggest band is Irish. Other notable Irish bands include, Thin Lizzy, The Chieftans, De Danan, Horselips and The Thrills.

Famous Irish artists include the legendary Van Morrison, Rory Gallagher, Enya, Mary Black, Christy Moore, Damien Rice and Paul Brady to name but a few.

Often over looked are the semi-pro musicians on the pub, club and event scene, more and more however this area of the business is proving very lucrative for talented musicians and good bands are very much sought after. As time goes on it seems the tribute bands in circulation are often times better live than the bands they are emulating, copying note perfect redintions of famous songs.
